Mrs Shapaka is currently a teacher at Tjihozu Senior Primary School and a member of Ruacana Village Council.
Prior to that, Mrs Shapaka was one of the SWAPO Women PLAN Commanders after having awarded a Reconnaissance Certificate from Tobias Hainyeko Training Centre-Lubango, Angola (1977).
Thereafter, she became Instructor for Reconnaissance in Tobias Hainyeko Training Centre (1977-1978). Mrs Shapaka later was promoted to the Deputy Chief of information at Tobias Hainyeko Training Centre.
She was involved in SWAPO Women Council activities at SWAPO Centres, as well as in literacy promotion of adult education in SWAPO Centres.
Mrs Shapaka holds the following qualifications; Basic Education Teacher Diploma (B.E.T.D) from Ongwediva College of Education (1994-1999), Diploma in Public Administration from the United Institute of Namibia, Lusaka-Zambia (1981-1984), Diploma in Leadership from Federation De Muhere Cuba in 1980-1981. |
